When I was very young, I had a tooth removed and my mouth was slightly dislocated. I didn’t bite well . As a consequence, I had bone loss and felt my gums were shrinking. After many years, the space left by the missing tooth reduced. So, when I decided to replace the missing tooth, I had to get an orthodontic treatment to enlarge the space and place an implant. It is fair to say that the surgical procedure was quite comfortable. I was worried about it, but then I thought about all the people that get implants successfully every day and that I fully trust my dentist. I followed all the after-surgery instructions given by my dentist: apply ice after the surgery, have my medication. The next day I was perfectly normal. I’ve carried the implant for five years already and most of the time I forget it is there. I have gained a lot: I chew perfectly, without any worries, all my teeth are perfectly alligned and the teeth next to the implant have gained solidity and, why not say it, I laugh more naturally and it makes me feel better. For these reasons, it is worth it.
